Scythe Riebaure is a secondary antagonist in Wild Arms 4. He is a member of Brionac, who claims to be one of the legendary Crimson Nobles. He has a romantic relationship with his partner, Belial.
Story[]
Scythe is a member of the Brionac Force, said to be a legendary Crimson Noble. He has powers over the fabric of space, and often feeds on his lover, Belial, to restore his strength. Scythe generally thinks highly of himself, styling himself as a charming ladies' man and a proud elite, but comes off as an arrogant narcissist instead.
When the party escapes from Aerial Fortress Eulalia, he confronts them on the flight deck in order to take back Yulie. During the battle, Arnaud, believing Scythe invincible, tries to flee. Scythe tries to pursue, but Jude protects him. Arnaud then uses a control panel to launch Eulalia's planes, which come crashing towards Scythe. He tries to use his powers to defend himself, but, being worn out in battle, fails, and is killed in the ensuing explosion.
Posthumously, it is explained that he wasn't really a Crimson Noble, but a delusional human, whose powers came mostly from drinking Belial's blood.
In Battle[]
Scythe is fought as a boss at level 14 at the flight deck of Aerial Fortress Eulalia. He possesses high EVA, which allows him to often evade attacks. Once his HP drop below 50%, he will start using Suction to heal himself. Once he's defeated, he will use Noble Madness to drop everyone's HP to 1. However, it still counts as the party's victory.
