Romero

Romero from Wild ARMs 3

  • Height: 5'6"
  • Weight: 126 pounds
  • Weapon: Stiletto Daggers

Romero is one of Janus Cascade's henchmen in Wild Arms 3. Not much is known about Romero, but he and his buddy Dario Nicolodi are followers of Janus Cascade, and the three of them journey the wasteland together. Romero is a bit cowardly and often loses his nerve, and with Janus not taking well to rookies, poor Romero often gets hit in the nose with the butt of hiss boss's Bayonet. Romero fights like a ninja, tossing stilettos at his opponents.

He, along with Dario Nicolodi were swept away when Janus got ahold of all three of the shields and they were both presumed dead. However, in the final cutscene of the game, he and Dario both flee at the sight of Virginia Maxwell and her team.

Train Janus, Romero, Dario (1º Battle)[]

  • HP: 275
  • EXP: 16
  • Gella: 50
  • Halved: NONE
  • Resistant: NONE
  • Weakness: NONE
  • Active: NONE
  • Absorbed: NONE
  • Romero's Attacks:
  • Throwing Star (physical)
  • Loses Nerve (increases his evade; only works once)

How To Win:

Your first battle as a team is a battle against a team. In this fight, you only have to defeat Janus to win, but it's best to take down Romero and Dario first for their EXP and Gella.

This battle is fairly easy, but Janus can do quite a bit of damage. Your best bet is to take down Dario first; as he is a little stronger than Romero, but also slower. Keep attacking him, and have Gallows use Heal spells every turn to keep your HP up. If your whole team is hurting, have him use Heal with Extension to cure your whole team.

Janus is the real threat in the battle. Janus can sometimes counter physical hits with Heretic Stab, so be wary about attacking him when your HP is low. He can also hit all team members with Multiblast (no, that's not Ashley's bayonet.) The first time you're Multiblasted, the game will teach you how to use the Mystic Force Ability to have a Heal Berry heal all at once. However, you don't need to do this to win the battle; in fact, you should save your Heal Berries for a better time, as they can be difficult to come across!

Or, you could begin by defending for the first turn, then healing the second turn, and finally going forward and all-out attacking on the third, having Virginia defend. She won't be able to do too much damage anyways. Thanks to Andvareel for this tip!

Anyway, keep it up with the physical attacks and heal every turn. Clive and Jet's attacks are powerful, and should take the trio down fairly quickly.

Ruins of Memory (2º Battle)[]

  • HP: 455
  • EXP: 56
  • Gella: 125
  • Halved: NONE
  • Resistant: NONE
  • Weakness: NONE
  • Active: NONE
  • Absorbed: NONE
  • Romero's Attacks:
  • Throwing Star (physical attack),
  • Loses Nerve (increases his EVA, only once)
  • Trinity (big physical damage to one, can only be used if all three are alive)

How To Win:

This fight is a little different from last time. Rather than Janus healing his allies if you hit them, you cannot hurt Janus until you take down his cronies (they will jump in front of him and reduce the damage). Your best bet is to defeat Dario first (he's stronger), then Romero. Spend a turn to Mystic a Lucky Card. Use Extension - Heal if the Multiblasts start to wear you down. Just keep attacking, and you'll do fine. You might want to cast Fragile on Janus to wear his DEF down. In fact, you really should cast Fragile on EVERY boss from now on; as DEF scores get higher, Fragile always reduces DEF to half, and that gets to be a LOT for some bosses.

Serpent Coils (3º Battle)[]

  • HP: 820
