Raquel's main parameters
In Wild Arms 4, all characters and enemies have parameters that determine their effectiveness in battle.
Personal Parameters[]
With the exception of MP, both playable characters and enemies have the following parameters.
Hit Points[]

Party members' HP and MP meters
Hit Points (HP) are a measure of a character's health, signifying how much damage can they take before being incapacitated. Fallen characters can be revived with such battle items as "Revive Fruit". Defeated enemies disappear from the battlefield, and can't be brought back.
After combat, the party's HP are restored. The only exception is when the character is incapacitated when the battle ends. Then, this character will suffer a 20% reduction of their maximum HP. The penalty stacks, with each following knockout reducing the character's current maximum HP by 20%. For example, a character with 5000 HP will have ((5000*0,8)*0,8)=3200 HP after being felled twice. These reductions are automatically lifted at any save point, or by consuming a "Nectar" field item. True maximum HP are denoted by blue numbers, rather than white.
Magic Points[]
Magic Points (MP) are consumed in order to use Original Commands. The character can't use an Original Command if they don't have enough MP. MP does not refill after battles, but is automatically recharged at save points, and can be restored by certain skills. Enemies do not MP, and always can use their abilities.
Attack[]
Attack (ATK) affects the damage that characters deal with their Attack or Shoot command.
Defense[]
Defense (DEF) lowers the damage that characters suffer from physical attacks.
Magic[]
Magic (MAG) affects the damage that characters deal with magic-based skills.
Resistance[]
Resistance (RES) lowers the damage that characters suffer from magic attacks.
Accuracy[]
Accuracy (HIT) affects the chance that a character’s Attack or Shoot command will hit the target.
The real chance to hit the target is calculated as (attacker's HIT - target's EVA)%.
Evasion[]
Evasion (EVA) lowers the chance that a character will completely avoid damage from a physical attack.
Reaction[]
Reaction (RFX) determines the character's position in turn order.
Equipment Parameters[]
Since enemies do not have any equipment, they lack the following parameters. Only playable characters have them.
Attack Power[]
Attack Power (ATP) affects the damage that characters deal with their Attack or Shoot command.
Action Rate[]
Action Rate (ACN) displays the amount of hits the character deals with a single Attack or Shoot command. Thus, it acts as a damage multiplier. The integer part of the number is a guaranteed multiplier, while the decimal part displays the probability of adding another hit. For example, ACN 3.75 means that the damage is multiplied by 3, and has a 75% probability to be multiplied by 4 instead.
However, each hit is subject to be decreased by enemy DEF, and weapons with higher ACN often have low ATP, meaning that they deal a lot less damage against enemies with high DEF. Thus, high-ACN weapons are generally stronger against low-DEF enemies, while high-ATP weapons fare better against high-DEF enemies.
Defense Power[]
Defense Power (DFP) lowers the damage that characters suffer from physical attacks.
Magic Resistance[]
Magic Resistance (MGR) lowers the damage that characters suffer from magic attacks.
