Nightburn Acklund is a character in Wild Arms 5.
Story[]
Nightburn is the top golem hunter and Dean's hero. He's earned the respect of the Veruni and considered their equal, a rare feat for a mere human. A legend among other golem hunters and the main spokesperson of the Golem Hunter's Guild. It is also known that he was once in love with a Veruni; Persephone's sister. Unfortunately Persephone's sister died 5 years earlier due to Filgaia rejecting her. This caused Nightburn to turn against humanity and sided with the Veruni in the destruction of the human race.
In Battle[]
Nightburn is fought trice during the game, all at level 36. However, in his first encounter in FBC Network Studio he is invincible, and the player is meant to lose. The final two battles are fought almost back-to-back, with the last being a duel between him and Dean.
