Natural Born Angel (Japanese: ナチュラル・ボーン・エンジェル) is the fifteenth episode of the Wild Arms Twilight Venom anime.
Synopsis[]
Sheyenne Rainstorm and Dr. Kiel Aronnax meet a young woman named Sybil after saving her from being hit by a steam locomotive as she becomes violent and rants on about her visions of an angel. She claims to have escaped from ROOF and may know the whereabouts of Sheyenne's real body. Meanwhile, the three treasure huntresses plan to get a special Crest from crest collector Judecca Dantes; as a crest sorceress, Loretta Oratorio intends to make a fair trade with him for the item rather than resorting to the usual scam, catching her two colleagues off-guard. Upon visiting his home, they find that he was attacked and that his crest was robbed. He identifies the thief as Sybil and makes a deal with Loretta to give her any card of his in exchange for returning his stolen crest.
After outrunning gunfire from Pedro, Sheyenne, Kiel and Sybil take a moment to rest when Zed attempts to kill Sybil in the town, suddenly dropping dead from the use of his arm. As Sybil buries the bodies of their two assailants, Kiel examines the ARM and finds ROOF's name inscribed on it. They find that while the two dead men shared Sheyenne's ability to use ARMs, their bodies were incompatible and thus were not able to handle the power.
Loretta suddenly swoops in to apprehend Sybil, chastising her for ostensibly breaking the honor code of crest collecting and demanding the stolen crest. In the ensuing melee, Judecca also enters the scene next to Mirabelle Graceland and Jerusha, though Loretta ultimately refuses to kill the other woman. Discarding his bandages, he challenges Sheyenne to a duel and promises to kill Sybil himself if he wins. Both duelists are wounded, though Judecca stumbles towards Sybil, though ends up succumbing to the pain and collapses. Sheyenne realizes that while he has shot many with an ARM before, he himself has never felt the pain, and as he talks to Sybil fails to notice that Judecca has gotten back to his feet and is aiming at them. Sybil then fires her ARM, delivering the coup de grâce to Judecca, and sacrificing herself. With her last words, she tells Sheyenne the location of his real body.
