Lullaby of the Noble-Red (Japanese: ララバイ・オブ・ノーブルレッド)[1] is the thirteenth episode of the Wild Arms Twilight Venom anime.
Synopsis[]
Sheyenne Rainstorm is having his blood drank by a Crimson Noble (called "Noble Red" in this show) morphed into a bat, who he assumes to be Mirabelle Graceland. Dr. Kiel Aronnax and Issac help him get the bat off and deduce it is a vampire baby. Nearby, they find the dying body of the young Asian boy who protected the Noble Red's life, warning them all to run away from the "God of Death" wish his last words. Mirabelle, along with the other treasure hunter girls Loretta Oratorio and Jerusha catch wind of the missing baby girl, Elizabeth Amanda Celine from her family in the Village of the Noble Red, and Mirabelle is determined to save her cousin once removed. The male wagons are travelling with the baby in a Conestoga wagon and Issac personally nurtures the infant, coaxing Sheyenne into letter her drink more of his blood and calling her Faluna. Unbeknownst to them, they are being tailed by the man who was after "Faluna"'s life, and his attempt to assassinate Sheyenne fails when Sheyenne dodges despite swooning from blood loss. Astounded, the man reports back to his master, thinking that Sheyenne is trained in his clan's style of martial arts. The girls plus the baby's father bump into the male party and come charging in when they discover that the baby is with them, mistaking them for kidnappers. After a brief ruckus, Sheyenne and co. clarify, and Loretta recognizes the Chinese characters as belonging to the dangerous group of martial artists pursing them when the assassins promptly appear before them and attack together. The heroes successfully fend off the attackers, who eventually retreat when Sheyenne kills the man as he tries to eat the Crimson Nobles turned into bats. Sheyenne is able to convalesce in the Nobles' village, and the baby's parents decide her official name will be Faluna. Mirabelle suggests that she be allowed to drink Sheyenne's blood as a reward for having nursed him back to health when her own parents arrive, to Mirabelle's consternation.
