Lie, Laila, Lie (Japanese: ライ・ライラ・ライ) is the tweltfh episode of the Wild Arms Twilight Venom anime.
Synopsis[]
Sheyenne Rainstorm, Dr. Kiel Aronnax and Issac are deep sea diving when they discover a vessel with a ROOF insignia, which Sheyenne recognizes was on the vehicle that Laila's kidnappers used to escape with her. Loretta Oratorio, Mirabelle Graceland and Jerusha are wearing diving gear at the same time as they are hunting for a monster who eventually finds them and chases them. Sheyenne eventually finds where Laila is being held and breaks her out. The three treasure hunter girls meanwhile emerge from the water just in time to be surrounded by men with guns. Kiel and Isaac stumble into a room with blueprints for an ARM and are found by the head scientist, Dr. Sabrisky. "Laila" confides in Sheyenne that she has been captured because she killed the man she loved in the past. Sheyenne comforts her, and the two run when the soldiers catch up to them. Sabrisky apparently has a history with Kiel and reveals that he was the reason Kiel was sent to Alcatraz. An alarm goes off, and Kiel and Isaac hurry to help Sheyenne. The girls make a run for it while the soldiers are distracted, and Kiel gets close enough to Sheyenne via motorboat and tosses him the prototype ARM so he can drive off the soldiers. Just when it seems the danger has passed, one remaining soldier shoots Laila and she falls into the water. Sheyenne dives in after her but the monster that the Loretta and co. were looking for blocks the way as Laila sinks deeply and rapidly. Sheyenne is about to shoot the monster when it looks into his eyes and he sees a vision or a memory causing him to stall; the monster then swims away as Sheyenne runs out of air and loses consciousness. Kiel is about to rescue Sheyenne just in time, with both groups floating on a capsized boat, as Sheyenne clutches the only thing of Laila's connect him to her -- a small seashell.
