King Hrathnir Kaiser Elesius III (Japanese: ラスニール・カイザ・エレシウス) is a supporting character from Wild Arms XF, his role being the ruler of Elesius, biological father of Clarissa Arwin and Katrina Liane Elesius, as well as the adoptive father of Alexia Lynn Elesius on account of her and Clarissa being accidentally mixed up years ago. While the case of mistaken identity pervades the story, Hrathnir eventually puts the pieces together upon meeting Clarissa years later and realizing she can use an ARM -- Strahl Gewehr -- an ability that only princess mediums are supposed to have. Bed-ridden by the start of the story, Hrathnir is the antithesis to the despotism of the Council of Elder Statesmen governing in his stead as they threaten to return Elesius to the imperial rule that Hrathnir himself tried to break the country away from. He ultimately gives his life to save Chevalet Blanc and the citizens of Elensia City from Grauswein, an explosive ARM set up by the Council.
