Force Combination Arts (FCA) are a type of Force Ability featured in Wild Arms 4 and 5. They are powerful attacks, performed together by two or more party members.

Overview[]

Force Combination Arts are not available from the start. To use them, all participants of the attack must stand in the same hex, have a high enough combined level, have enough Force Gauge (FG) to perform the move, and must not be affected by status effects. Once these requirements are met, characters will have a short mid-battle conversation, and the FCA will be added into the "Force Ability" menu.

Four-person FCAs, however, are an exception. Hi-Material becomes available once Raquel Applegate joins the party, Arc Impulse is only learned during the final phase of the final boss, and Kindred Souls can be accessed only after all three "Familiar Tale" items have been gathered from red chests and combined into an item of the same name.

Wild Arms 4[]

In Wild Arms 4 there are 14 Force Combination Arts in total: one for each possible pair and trio, as well as three for the whole party and one more for Jude and the guest character. All FCAs require 25 FG per participant, meaning 50 FG for dual, 75 FG for triple, and 100 for quadruple FCAs.

Riot Fencer

Powerful attack. Power 1720. Target: enemy HEX (adjacent).
Retreat Wave

Lowers RXF by 100 and cancels actions. Power 950. Target: enemy HEX (all).
Hi-Material

Restores HP. Power 500. Target: ally HEX (all).
Arc Impulse

Heavy damage to Wild ARMs. Power: 2600. Target: enemy HEX (any).
Kindred Souls

Powerful attack. Power 2300. Target: enemy HEX (all).
Gadget Crush

Powerful attack. Power 1100. Target: enemy HEX (all).

Wild Arms 5[]

In Wild Arms 5 there are 15 Force Combination Arts in total, with one for each possible pair. There are no triple FCAs in the game.
