Farmel Arianrhod is a major antagonist in Wild Arms 4. She is Lambda's bodyguard and lover.
Story[]
Farmel generally behaves somewhat irresponsibly and lightheartedly, but this is merely a facade. In reality, she's a proficient fighter, personally loyal to Lambda. Farmel's special ability, "Citadel of the Gods", grants her an incredible defensive prowess. Due to her duty of protecting Lambda, Farmel mostly stays with him during the story, serving as his confidant. When Jude tries to attack Lambda in Garra de Leon, Farmel appears alongside Kresnik to defend him.
After Lambda takes action himself, Farmel follows him, and eventually confronts the party in the Illsveil Prison. After being defeated, she understands how firm Jude's resolve is, and lets them pass. Shortly after, she realizes that the prison's defense system will repair itself over time, trapping everyone on it, and destroys it herself, which causes an explosion that blinds her. Farmel manages to find her way to Lambda, who was also defeated by Jude's party, and has a heart-to-heart with him, before both are seemingly crushed by the island's collapse.

A Commander of the Brionac Forces. She is also known as the "shield" which protects Lambda. Despite her lighthearted demeanor and teasing words, her faith in Lambda is absolute and she guards him with her life.
In Battle[]
Farmel is fought as a boss at level 48 near the entrance of the Illsveil Prison. She starts in the central HEX, and will attempt to return to it if forced outside. She never attacks herself, but will use powerful counters.

- Farmel's surname, "Arianrhod", refers to a figure in Welsh mythology. Literally, it means "silver wheel", her weapon's name.
- "Asgard", Farmel's codename, is the home of the gods in Norse mythology. It's also a reference to the series' staple golem Asgard.
