Chuck Preston (Japanese:チャック・プレストン)[2]is one of the main playable characters of Wild Arms 5. A young, boastful Golem Hunter with self-confidence issues, he finds himself in a love triangle with childhood friend Lucille and Veruni Radical Fereydoon. He fights with a piledriver-like weapon.

A cocky showoff Golem Hunter (apprentice only) who is in hot pursuit of Greg the "Golem Crusher". Although he seems confident on the surface, he is actually a coward who's afraid of interacting with people due to his fear of them suffering a similar fate to his parents.

A 19-year-old golem hunter (apprentice). A cocky guy with a pretty face but a bit weak at heart. He isn't the smartest guy in the world and occasionally sticks his foot in his mouth.

A young Golem Hunter (in training). Affects a cocky attitude to go with his good looks, but is doesn't last long under pressure. Not the brightest person in the world, but his ARM looks awfully cool.

In Wild Arms 5, Chuck can adopt several different outfits depending upon the armor he has worn. Two of these outfits are based on the character designs from other Wild Arms games.

- Butler's Suit, based on Magdalen Harts from Wild Arms.

Special Ability: Increases his attack power proportional to his loss of HP
With his unique ability, Chuck is really best set up with the Mountain medium - which will keep him alive and let him endure but without increasing his defense so much as one can't take advantage his power increase.
