Wild Arms[]

A village of people who choose to live with the earth. They prefer the old Elw ways as opposed to the Guardian religion Curan Abbey was teaching.

After get the Justine and Raftina runes, the group returns to village and they go to the Baskar Pyramid, the guardians talk to them:

Justine: Even our light does't reach him.

Raftina: If we give up now, we will have no future.

Are you trying to open the path of the future with the light from you heart? You are an artficial being. A Artificial heart cannot bring a bright future. You cannot call the future wind. Why you still seek the future of Filgaia? How can you do that?

You're all alone in this world. You are a stranger who does not belong anywhere. How can you try to open the future to this world? Can you believe in Dreams?

Cecilia and Jack reinforce that Rudy belongs to this world.

Raftina: The light from the artificial heart is reaching the future, no way! but wait... this brightness really is.... the light of hope.

Zephyr: I'm the Guardian of Hope.... the light from the heart that people  have lost... Rudy.... your heart is not natural... yes its light woke me... If you believe in the future...then use my powers to fight in the name of Hope.

Rudy gets the Hope Rune.

WA2 Baskar tittle

Baskar in Wild Arms 2

Baskar exists in Wild Arms 2 as the home village of Tim Rhymless. They follow the tradition of worshipping the Guardians and carry out human sacrifices (Pillars) to "empower" the Guardians.

Storyline[]

After defeated Alphael, Ashley agrees to go to Meria to get the boy and explain the situation, they believe that Odessa intends to use the boy's medium powers to appease the Guardians. Irving says that Tim has great power that he is not able to control yet which scares him. Finally the group decided to take him to his homeland Baskar and so they left there. Tony and Scott travel undercover as they thought Tim might need help.

Hidden in a Forest are the gardian worshiping Baskar. The village is so well hidden that it's know as Hidden Town, acording to Irving.

After walking through the forest they find the village.

When youn can, head to the village gates to meet Colette, who tells you that the Hidden Trial Arena is S of the village, which is very helpful, since there is no other direction you can go. Go S past the rocky peak on the E side and search to locate it.

ARMOR: Hard Gear - in chest behind elder's house.

Back to Baskar[]

After the groupe reunited, Irving had another mission and everyone back to Baskar again.

The chief says that the dream-seers have the knowledge and training to receive and recognize the Guardians will. But mensagens from the Guardians come only in fragmentos, and are often difficult do interpret. Its is extremely rare for a message so concrete to be bestowed by the guardians. The Danger to Filgaia must be truly great to warrant such a vision.

Ashley wants to know what the Guardians are trying to tell, but the chief doesn't know. He says that they only can wait for dreams and since the Power of Guardians is the power of all Filgaia, If It Being eaten away means the power of the Guardians will be diminished.

Tim offers to receive the will of the Guardians using his Powers and the chief says that its possible for Tim to Channel the will of the guardians.

Chief says that they need to go to the sealed sanctuary of the guardians, because It have enough of the guardians power left in.

Ashley ask the chief about what exacly is this place, and he says that its The Sacrificial Altar.

Lilka gets worried If They still keeping up that sacrifices and starts to concern about Tim, after he seems interest about the place, but he says that the only want to ask the Guardians what is happening in Filgaia. But Lilka still worried about It.

After Tim and Pooka speak each other, they decided to go there, and the chief sugest the speak with people in Baskar about the location

After talking with the village elder, talk to the lady by the N house. She'll tell you about the Sealed Sanctuary being in the Urartu Mountains.

WA3 Baskar Colony 2

Baskar Colony

The Baskar are a tribe of people who are strongly in tune with the Guardian Spirits of Filgaia. The party member Gallows Caradine is a member of this tribe, though he is unconvinced of the importance of the Guardians. They are highly reminiscent of real world Native Americans.

It is interesting to note that there is a stone formation in the middle of the village which is an exact copy of the one in Wild Arms 2, albiet covered by soil.

Walktrough[]

Gallows' intro begins in his hometown, known as Baskar Village. He's sick of living in one place and wants to go out and see the world as a Drifter, but he needs something to protect himself with along the way. So we'll be guiding Gallows to the nearby Fallen Sanctuary to "borrow" a treasure called the "Ark Scepter".

We begin outside Gallows' house. Head back in and look around. See those barrels? One of them has a Revive Fruit stashed inside. Grab it by checking the barrel as you would any other object, and make note of Gallows' futon. That's a free Inn right there; so if you ever need to heal, rest there. Exit Gallows' house and enter the house right below it. You'll find a Heal Berry hidden in a certain object in his house (I'll let you find this one,) and talking to the man inside (Harold) and choosing his second choice will give you a bit of backstory on Filgaia.

In the southeastern house, you can find another Heal Berry inside one of the barrels. Grab that, then talk to the black haired woman walking around the giant rock in the center of town. This is Ellen, a kind middle-aged Baskar woman. You can get some free items off her by speaking with her, but when she asks you questions, be honest! Answer "How'd you guess?", "Yeah. You wanna help me out?", then "I wanna run away and be free." to get the best possible payout; 5 Heal Berries and 3 Gimel Coins. Afterwards, head to the northern building and go on in to talk to Granny Halle.

After being chewed out by the wise old hag, we're gonna do something really stupid. See those poles in front of the entrance to the altar? Run into the poles in front of the altar (press and hold X to run in whatever direction you are facing) and collide with them. You'll actually shake a Potion Berry out of one of them! See? It pays to be a clumsy oaf sometimes.

Okay, now that we've had our lecture and injured our head, we're almost ready to leave town. BEFORE YOU LEAVE, make DOUBLY SURE you talk to Cordell (he's near the southern part of town) and learn about the Search System on the world map. If you do not, there is a good chance your next destination will not appear on the World Map when you search. Many people skip this step and wonder why the game does not find the Fallen Sanctuary for you, but few realize it's as simple as that

Enemies[]

Only over the map around the town.

The Baskar only get a brief and passing mention as people who used to populate what is now known as an Abandoned Village. It's implied their entire culture has completely died away with the times.
